Now I start thinking about removing starbound site from my bookmarks - I'm subscribed on newsletter and don't care about community, while daily visits to the site make waiting frustrating.

 

I'm currently watching Bartwe streaming on Twitch - he's just programming right now, but, a user named Snooley asked if Starbound's engine was original or if it was based off Terraria's - Bartwe seemed to have answered it with something to the effect of 'it's their own engine, which works with OpenGL' - that's new to me, I had not yet seen any talk about the engine really, especially in relation to Terraria.

Also, he crouched around while testing Starbound for 10 seconds, and in the programming window it showed commands like "duck", "sit", "climb", and "swim"...it's cool to watch him program. And you can pick up some stuff if you pay attention. When I asked if crouching was the same as sneaking, Bartwe said something to the effect of "I don't think there is sneaking right now". Although, it's in the OP... maybe it is planned, just not implemented. Or something.

 

I must say that Blue made an impressive job gathering all this information in a list.
This made me think that the more people that sees this post, the better.
And that's why I decided to help with this:
I have translated the whole list for the (still small) spanish community! (Obviously giving all the credits to Blue, who is the one who worked so hard on it).

Now the spanish people can also access to all the available info about this game

Sitting in-game will definitely add to the immersion of the experience.

I'm glad that now even more people will learn a lot about Starbound from it.

 

That was good idea ! I'll try to do the same in French when I'll have time (I'm at work right now).

 

OMG - You can't drink lava and still live!? What the hell! Every great game I played you can drink lava and still live... Oh well I can find a way to be happy without I guess - but the devs better be working hard to make up for that huge mistake!

 

I think that a mod system like cortex command would be cool, basically cortex command is coded to load all folders with the .rte extension . If Starbound had such a system it would I think work well, if they add mod support.
