Hey, when I can't play a game, I like to read up on it at least. But you're absolutely right, we've gotten a LOT of info scattered around, as well as a lot of video footage, several trailers, and a bunch of screenshots.

Anyone know if fish people have to have items to go on land or anyhthing like that yet?

 

They're not really fish people. And I don't think there's been mention of whether the Hylotl need equipment for land or not... because I'm quite positive that would be unfair if they do, I don't think it'll happen.

no, races are primarily cosmetic. the only difference in races is the ease of accessing their armor. if you're a hylotl, you'll have to befriend the avians before you can use avian gear, whereas you have immediate access to hylotl gear.

You don't necessarily need to befriend them to use it, you just have to learn how to craft it, or just find it or trade from another player.

 

Modding support would be awesome! Also, will you be able to make more then 1 character

 

okay, i was under the impression you could only learn how to craft the racial armor by befriending them.

 

Probably. I wouldn't like having to delete my awesome character just to try the Florans/Avians/whatever.

I'm really loving the customization the players will be able to do to the game. One of the things that REALLY have me excited to mess with is being able to edit creatures. Being able to take a certain creature and change it's actions, or being able to capture it, and I'm assuming you could change even it's dialog, would make for very unique monsters and creatures to see in a multiplayer server. People would be able to create their own worlds, with completely new characters(I'm assuming), monsters, and so much more, as it seems.

Not to mention, being able to make your own world entirely? If that actually does get implemented, I could see SO much potential for completely different worlds with special creatures and characters. I could honestly see someone, some very creative players even shocking you, the developers into thinking "Just wow, I never seen that coming."

I used to play a lot of Little Big Planet, and if this turns out to be very similar to Little Big Planet in the customization of the game for players to create and add onto the game, I just don't really know what to say.. This has me in very high hopes, and I'm absolutely dying to try out so many features and mess with mods and such. I certainly want to see how this all plays out. I think it's time for me to brush up on my pixel art and prepare for this. But aside from that, I personally want to thank the Development team for listening to the players too.

When I see Developers listening, and interacting with their fans, it gives me a feeling of relief, and makes me very happy. To know that the Developers are not simply out for money, and are open to players suggestions and to help players. It's like taking a weight off of a players shoulders to know "This isn't going to be another game where you get what you see, and no staff will listen or consider players thoughts to better the game." It's a beautiful thing you're all doing, and I want to express my thanks for doing so.

One last thing, the community. So far I've seen people help each other, and spread information that they have. If a person is unsure of something, the community is nice enough to go and help. That right there makes a game even more greater than it already is, as the community plays a big role in a game. It's sometimes rare or uncommon to find a great community, but it seems it's all right here. Aside from the occasional bickering and arguing, you're all very helpful and kind people. So my thanks goes out to you all as well.

I'm so excited as to see how this game will work and what all you can do. I can't wait to test the weapons and see how they work, the creatures and bosses. I want to see the different worlds and explore all the structure's and dungeons. The crafting, building, vehicles and EVERYTHING! But above all that, I want to create something for this, so I'll start working on my own project with my friends to be ready for this upcoming beautiful game.
