Liquid fuel types, gas, oil. Portable Pump and liquid storage containers.

Couple of mods for this there is FuelMod and Steambound is still working on that part.

 

Yeah. They've mentioned that there are going to be more ways of fuelling a ship. This would be great.

 

Well, it is rather odd, powering an advanced space traveling ship with coal... I can undestand using coal to smelt ores, but as fuel it is rather strange, especially considering that other sources of fuel are advanced radioactive hazardous materials such as uranium and plutonium. Adding liquid fuels and resources will surely make the game much more interesting.

You can't always find the resource you lookign for (in RL) So I guess coal is a kinda a backup in case you have nothing else to burn. Btw I like the liquid fuel idea. Hear hear.
