Bug/Issue [Linux] Black screen

Just bought this yesterday, after seeing that it was playable on Linux.
When I try to play it, it will either instantly crash or will boot up to a black screen but I can still hear the logo chuckle and eventually the title screen music but the screen remains the same, I read through some of the other posts about similar issues but have found nothing that works from the few that are about the Linux version.
I get an Opengl error when I run it through Terminal however.

"[Error] OpenGL errors this frame: GL_INVALID_VALUE"

I'm somewhat new to Linux so I might be totally missing something.
