I'm sure it's already been suggested, but it would be so nice to finally have lifts/elevators in the game. Ideally it would be a platform that would move up or down or left or right naturally, but could be set to manual via wiring to a switch so that the player could select whether to set it in motion or not. It would be great for both aesthetic and functional purposes for players, especially fans of building!
Yeah, it has been suggested many times, I would like to see it in the game though. So much cool stuff you could make with it.
i think they already have added some kind of elevator. it is called teleporters. you can travel between places on the same planet with them
Because I just looooove butting in! I know it's a late quote, but hey! Because climbing will most likely (99% likely) never be a thing. To the main thread - yeah, it's suggested and it already raised awareness in the dev-team, don't worry. They'd also love to implement them (it's not a priority thing yet, tho), so just keep being patient. :3
i'm not thinking on every single floor. i'm thingking you can have platforms to get up and down, unless it is too far. i'm thinking you could have 1 teleported in each part of the building. lets say you have a planet full of those new NPC houses you can make. then you have 1 with the chefs, 1 with the hylots, 1 with the glitches, 1 with the guards, 1 with the special NPCs like the slime guy ect.
I don't think that's really the point though. Imagine if someone made an amazing skyscraper, but instead of experiencing the feeling of going up through the clouds you would just teleport to your location... boring!
Yeah, teleporters are nice, but they're just not the same as a moving platform of some sort. I'm sure they'll make it a thing with time though. I can be patient ^_^
In a case like that, elevators wouldn't make much sense. But let's say I make a simple tower, 3 to 5 floors. Would be great an elevator that stop on every floor. Like in those games where you step on the elevator and press 'down' to go to the nex lower floor/stop-point and 'up' to the next upper floor/stop-point. It would not be just practical, but look very nice on a building.
