I've recently returned to the universe of Starbound after about six months of not playing to rediscover how in love with the game I truly am, and I noticed after awhile that the human ship doesn't have very much pazzaz to it. So, having just came home from a Gay Pride festival, I decided to do a bit of decorating. What are you guys doing to make your ships a little more colorful?
Don't know about colorful, but I plan to make each area themed. Example, having a medic room done up to have supplies cabinet and bed. A small garden room at the roof, when my ship gets that last upgrade. A storage area, crew quarters, maybe a hot springs, and possibly a Bar/restaurant. Got plenty of things in mind I could try. I say plan only because I haven't gotten around to it and I don't have the materials I need for the changes. So right now sadly it is just a storage throughout the ship...
My human ship is the most "decorated" but has quite a few empty segments.. I generally do functionality first, then worry about fashion.. With that in mind, I put priority with setting up my crafting stations to all be in reach (as in able to use without changing "floors") if I am on the "middle floor" of my crafting bay.. I would post a SS now, but the game isn't up (yet).. Give me a few minutes and I'll edit this post with pics (in spoiler tags, of course, to spare your poor scrolling finger).. I placed tile around the fuel console to enable the placement of the scanner for the door as well as look a little nicer.. I took inspiration from Futurama's overrated self-absorbed captain Zapp Brannigan.. Just as he "values" his officer Kif, I "value" my crew.. At least the ones controlled by players.. Nothing to see here... Move along! Seriously.. Space waiting for inspiration to strike.. Eventually! More empty space.. Most of my rooms are like this.. Crafting stations! The middle "floor" that I am standing on allows me to access both top and bottom rows! I am able to craft everything from here (granted I have materials required)! More of Zapp Brannigan's shinaniggans! The NPC crew have more reasonable sleeping arrangements.. The poor PC crew gets only those coffins that may also be mistaken as luggage.. Maybe this is why I never get to play multiplayer with anyone...? Nah! --EDIT 1-- I had some of the pics up and posted, but hit back button in browser instead of Steam.. I lost all progress on that edit post.. iDerp.. Redoing it now.. Will be a bit as I typed a bit describing the pics.. Some of us do not agree with the gay high jacking of the rainbow... It would be appreciated to not link the two, thanks. But the rainbow coloring is always nice
I liiiike. Its good. As much as I don't show being in the LGBT community I still think its good. But then again I'm a huge fan of colour
It's still a rainbow. It's not directly saying, "Oh! Look how gay I am!/Look how much I support gay rights!", or anything similar. I respect that in some religions it's significant. I just think it's a bit rude to go onto someone else's post and tell them not to link rainbows to homosexuality. Keep in mind, some things can be linked to more than one thing. Like Milk to cereal and milk to cookies...
No one finds offense to milk... Your logic is flawed. Just look at the like count, my tactful post has more likes than the op. It's a simple respect thing. The op made the connection, not me. I just asked for people to be respectful. Rainbows are beautiful, and don't need politicized.
Dude. If what was most popular determined what was right every time, we'd all be screwed. So please don't say things about having more likes than so and so. Number of likes is meaningless.

You're both right. So don't support what is popular, support what is not controversial. And LGBT is controversial and popular recently... So thanks for the support! Rainbows are beautiful after a heavy rain.
Very beautiful indeed.. The wet surfaces becoming reflective and showing the sun's return from the clouds.. and the petrichor and cool temperature are very relaxing..! ^‿^
Well that is enough of that. In the end of the day a Human Organization cannot claim monopoly on an event in nature. If I wanted to, I could make the rainbow mean - symbolism of dogs and cats day. Everyone is free to make their own interpretative projections of ideologies on symbols and events. If a religion has their own interpretations - the people of that faith are free to believe it. If a group has another interpenetration - the people of that group are free to believe it. Saying one is right and the other is wrong - only causes more hate and division of society. Lets leave such ideological mentalities checked at the door. == This matter won't be discussed past this post. A fabulous design! I would love to see a fully upgraded ship with that rainbow coloring, and you may have convinced me to change my ships lobby to that color tonight! And here it is! just for you! much love. (went with a diff. room)
