Let's talk about birds.

God damn motherfucking stealth bombers fucking my ass every damn minute of the god damn game. Walking somewhere? NOPE DON'T THINK SO, TIME FOR A MOTHERFUCKING BLOOD BATH. Oh you cutting down a tree? THEY FUCKING KNOW THEY'LL GOD DAMN SEEK AND DESTROY ANAL RAPE GG. FUCK OFF BITCH I'M MAKING AN UNDERGROUND HOUSE FOR THE REST OF THE GAME THIS ISN'T PEARL HARBOR SHIT..

On a serious note, how's everyone like the birds? Before they were pretty useless, now I'm somewhat terrified to go outside. Deadly and versatile beings of destruction yeah?

 

They need to add passive birds, and tone down the attack range by a lot. Having them be hostile for a change is nice, though I don't want them to be the 'Cliff Racers' of starbound (i.e. aggro from extreme range, along with staying aggroed almost indefinitely.).

Didn't know someone hated birds so much..

 

Birds themselves are fine with strong attacks, makes you less likely to try and snipe one down, thinking they're harmless. But their aggro range is too big, they will even follow you into tunnels without seeing you, whut?

 

I only hate birds when they start being Clliff Racers. People may or may not have played Morrowind, but darn were those things annoying. The birds as they are now almost exactly act like Cliff Racers to some degree. The only thing they don't do is make a loud annoying noise.

 

Man, don't even try to climb an anchor to an airship. Even if you make it up, you'll find the birds have already cleared house and killed the quartermaster you wanted to buy guns from and nearly all the crewmen.

 

Still didn't know someone hated birds in general so much..

 

I've been easily able to avoid birds.. The structure I built isn't even complete yet with no roof in many parts.. But they de-aggro almost immediately once I slide into the roofed sections. Just have to watch out for the occasional falling boulder is all.

I haven't had much luck with that. When I was making a house, the bird got aggroed so I moved under a section with a roof. It went through the platform I had for access the third floor and move to attack me anyways.
