Finally got done with the ship. At least with all the basics.
Interior decoration can never be finished. =)

Here is my first custom ship, built completely block by block from scratch over the course of about 2 days between actual construction and busting down dungeons for the materials to put it together. I didn't bother with any background art images, as I wanted it to be compatible even with vanilla servers. I still think it came out pretty decent even without them though. The dark room is berthing (they're usually kept dark on actual ships for the sleeping crew), just some beds on the walls and footlockers. The torches on the outside of the hull were left over from taking measurements of the ship dimensions and forgot to take them out for the screenshot... lol. Next project will be even bigger and more complex in design!

Deco is WIP! Can't think of anything to place in the top and bottom levels...
The dark room in the middle has a switch wired with gates to lockdown all doors on the ship.
The storage locker area on the far right is a trap, trying to dash to it without teleport triggers the camera which shuts the door.
On the second from bottom level, opening the last door triggers the turrets, which lock you in!

 

I know it's cluttered but until we can upgrade ships I'll settle for this.

Here's mine... the idea is that it's a run down, barely-functioning ship. It bears a slight resemblance to a Firefly in terms of layout.

It has an engine room, crew dorms, a locker room, captain's quarters, a workshop, a galley, a cargo hold, and a 2-tier flight deck. I don't have a turret yet, but it'll go above the captain's desk eventually.

 

Wow, some of you really went all out on ship design.

Me? I went the 5 year old route:

 

Upgraded my Tomb raider ship by using a sandbox ship!

 

Still pretty basic. I'm trying to make it comfortable, aesthetic, and organized. Pretty cool to have a floating base to do all your crafting and stuff in.

 

She's not much, but she's mine.

 

I really like how you have it set up. Very cool. May use your layout for my glitch ship.

This is my humble home. It hold all my stuff.... and I keep everything. haha.
I think I might need to get one of the extended ship mods or something soon.

 

After I finished this me and my friends agreed I was at the highest of the high and there was nothing left for me to do in this game.
