Impressive work overall, especially love the implementation of signs - all too often they feel neglected. Pleasant palette choice too, but I for the life of me can't recognize the blocks you used to outline the windows and on some other details. Their flat colours look great, seem perfect for painting and blend together perfectly, I'd absolutely love to experiment with them myself.
Has anyone built a Hylotl Condor that can realistically support 14 people living in it and looks good? That includes what I assume is the crew limit of twelve, one chef, and the captain. I assume each person would need a bed, a toilet, and a shower. Should also have a cafeteria and a kitchen, probably separate quarters for the captain. Currently banging my head over it.
Not Hylotl ships and only the first is compatible with 1.0, but you could look at these: Logistics Frigate Reborn V4 Xan Union Cargo Cruiser The Gargantuan Olympic Class Star Trek Ship by Alsehr Industries
That cargo ship looks like it could be the right size, though I try not to use mods, just the ones that could be compatible with a vanilla server. "Hylotl Condor" is rather specific, it means a fully upgraded normal ship, or that's what I thought.
I took practicality over style to the extreme with my ship. I'd rather store all of my stuff in one place and spend all of my time relaxing on the gorgeous planets.
I do kind of the same, except that instead of nice and tidy lockers I just have stacks of boxes. Everywhere.
The lockers are sooooooo good. They only cost 1 Durasteel and 1 Silver to make for 48 slots in a neat wall-mounted storage unit. I carry of stack of 20 of them in my inventory at all times, lol.
Here is my Hylotl ship. My plan is to have a farm and full village on a planet down below, so I didn't need to load up with crafting stations. The food is all beamed up from below. The ship is for exploring new areas and defending the village. The bottom right has all the storage I need, the rest is mostly decoration/roleplay. Top right is a medical chamber which is fueled by experiments on Florans in the bottom left First the Floran is dissected in the room with the altar, while being kept alive. Then he is sent to the underwater area when no one is around. You can see under the water there is a cage, blood vials, some bone piles. The crew has no idea what is going on underneath them. The Floran blood passes through that crystal filter next to the water, where it is further refined by the medical station to be used in the healing chamber. Far left is sleeping quarters for crew, as well as my pet mongoose's food bowl (crabs suck). Center top is entertainment for crew, center middle is voyage planning and weapons control. Far right on the bridge is my Hylotl's bedroom and personal library.
Top floor is the medical ward and the kitchen. Floor below that is the bathroom, recreation room and crew sleeping area. Bottom floor is the engine room and the engine itself.
Floran ship is bessst. Ship hasss crew of every kind. Even hasss fishman janitor/emergency rationsss.
okay, that is really cool, but what are the blocks with diagonal edging? (ps i really love the detailing with the red painted hard drive blocks or whatever they were called)
