How did you get the grey style version of the ship? also, what do you use for your character. (Hair mods? outfit mods?)
The grey version of the Soma ship is something I did myself in Paint.NET to try to get it to match the original outpost style I did the ship in. I only did the final tier of it since that's generally the stage I actually start caring what my ship looks like, but if people are interested in it I'll go back through and do all the tiers for it. As for my character, she's technically human but back when they changed the syntax (I think it was pleased giraffe) I found I couldn't play with standard humans any more after playing as a Ningen so I figured I'd wait for the mod to get updated ... and then it didn't. So I ended up merging the Ningen into an override for the human race since barring another syntax change it really doesn't need me to update anything involved in it and makes racial compatibility with other mods a non-issue. So that's where the face and hair comes from at any rate. It also has the added effect of changing all humans in the game to the Ningen models so they don't look like the cast of Coraline. With regards to what she's got equipped in the screenshot Head - Avali Goggles (http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/avali-triage.2852/) Chest - Valkyrie Armour (http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/wip-the-viera-race-of-ivalice-glad-giraffe.1533/) Legs - Scientist Pants dyed black Weapon - Durasteel Avali Spear
Probably easiest just to do it this way. The top one is the standard model, the bottom is for lighting.
Wellp, it's been a while since I've posted here (or that I have played Starbound in general) but I've made a new custom ship, based on a dropship design I found on google. This one is again built using creative mods and admin powers. I've used Tanz' Lighting Overhaul using no glow, no pass and medium lighting. I'm generally happy how it worked out. Perhaps the back could've been done a bit better but oh well. The idea is that the thruster can tilt so it can also apply upwards or downwards thrust. But turning a 3D thing into 2D is a bit....errr...... ...difficult.
Well, I made a new spaceship. Tried to base it on the NASA space shuttle. To be quite honest, I don't really like my design. Except for the engines.
I will be going through the effort of getting the closeups of the cruiser I made a while ago soon. This will be !!fun!! as A: The FPS on the ship is terribad and B: For some reason, making a screenshot (which I do with Steam's F12 thingy) makes my starbound screen go black until I resize it or enter/exit fullscreen I am sorry.
next time use something more reliable m8. Can anyone else see that? I suggest imgur, it's free and you don't even need to register to use it.
I decided to not bother with making a pwetty stitched picture and just lazily made screenshots. I wish that "Starbounded" website would work. AFAIK it's very nice for making screenshots. Unfortunately it wont load World files. http://imgur.com/a/wqJdT Interactive exploration can be arranged by allowing me to join your server with the USCM-ECm220 "Define "FPS"" EDIT: I don't know why you would, but don't copy the airlock logic. It's faulty and reloading the ship makes it flip out. EDIT 2: Also note that I'm still using Tanz' Lighting Overhaul, with no aura, medium brightness, some passthrough. It's the reason why the ship looks as dark and unlit as it does and that without this mod the ship would most likely be overly bright.
