Work in progress, this is my home - Space Gilligan Much like a bonsai takes years of time and nurturing so too does the Hylotl ship.
Thank you! still trying to sort out decor with vanilla Upbeat Giraffe decorations Are you working on your ship? I'd like to see some pics! ^^
obviously a WIP what's completed so far: kitchen: includes a glitch mother for delicious food. prison: no prisoners yet. (all cell gates are controlled by the huge control panel next to the showers) showers Laboratory: here we use our prisonners both for food and to create the ultimate life-form. meeting room: this is where the ship's commander meets other ships' commanders. bridge: this ship requires 6 people for it to be fully functional, in case of emergency it is possible to pilot with only 2 though. bathrooms: cuz you do need to do your stuff every now and then... started: storage room: still missing half of it and the backgrounds. bedroom: beds are installed, no background yet. not started yet: dining room: will be between kitchen and lower bathroom, expect a glitch-castle styled room here. entertainment room: arcade machines, TV comfy couches, everything one could ever dream of this will be in the big room next to the prison cells. idk if i missed anything
Very cool, I have to say I love your elaborate kitchen fireplace and I love the meeting room, very clever! Going to be great when its finished [DOUBLEPOST=1425599898][/DOUBLEPOST] Thanks! I think its about knowing how to divide up the spaces to make it work for you. I do think, however, this is a lot easier with the Hylotl design.
Here's the Glitch ship I'm working on. I went with the style of the Glitch village, rather than the style of the Glitch castle:
This is neat, but I noticed you had that egg fertilization panel on your bridge. Just what are you doing out there in the great beyond? Is your name Kirk, by chance?
Sorry if my post is just a bunch of pictures instead of all of them compiled into one, I don't have the time to put them all together. As you can see, it has a lot of tapestries I've stolen from Avian villages and airships, and the only part that isn't really complete is the cafeteria. I need more temple platforms, a bed, a fridge, and an oven for the chef when I get a spawner for him.
I left the top part for last, as I wanted to plant some stuff up there. But then I remembered earlier versions where the florans used to fly around with a human ship (nowadays, it's more of a mix'n'match of all different ships^^) and that left me pondering, how on earth would a Floran end up on a human ship. Well, the answer is obvious NOW. Anyone that has seen the movie "Alien" does know it cannot fare well when a greedy human company picks up an alien lifeform for a ride. Alassss, Floran ownssss sssssship now... Also, before anyone goes all up in my face, yes, there are some admin'ed items on that ship. I know that. And no, I do not care if this infuriates you.
Added a little helpful healing to my ship, I originally had a big tank before I did an overhaul. But now! I have something that works just as well and I don't even have to move. \ Just 4 glass and healing water
I haven't really done much with the full ship ever since I started building the planetside base for storage... but I reworked the bridge, not just to accommodate an eventual crew, but with the notion in my head that the whole ship would be a Floran patch-job inside as well as outside...
The engine room of June's ship, the Ramshackle. I went a little nuts here. The idea being that the whole ship is a spit-and-duck-tape affair, and that the engines and whatnot are a cobbled-together mess of whatever technologies that could be scavenged or stolen (and occasionally bought). Man I hope player-placed Status Pods and Matter Generators won't go away. I'm pretty fond of that experimental generator I put together with those.
Overall view: Still a work-in-progress, mainly working on storage organization, not sure where to put each section yet. Close-ups: Trying to keep things organized and neat. Still not done labeling everything yet, as you can see. I marked the section boundaries for clarity. Certainly one of the simpler ways to fuel a ship... Crafting area, every table I'll ever need. Kitchen/Teleporter room. WIP room/bridge. Not sure what to do with the left room yet. Lastly... my personal space.
