The infection spreads

 

This is my ship. Feel free to copy my ship layout if you are a hoarder, who enjoys lots of storage space, and don't or can't use mods. (I play on a small guild server that doesn't use any mods.) Now I'm just waiting for the update that adds upgrade-able ships. Then I might actually have enough room for decorations.

 

Some of the pieces are in a transitional state at the moment. Mostly containers that I would rather not lug around, full of junk I have yet to sort.
Here's a snapshot of a somber moment while I was resting after a rough surface visit. My guardbeast stared at me with vacant eyes while my liaison officer read me some mail I'd received recently.

Don't laugh at the hat... that's transitional too while I reacquire a crown.

 

Here is just a small part of my ship. When done it will be an 8x8 "mega-squares".

Lol, I've been working on my ship for quite a while without the use of mods and thought it was the bees knees. Finally came to post it somewhere and I see shark and zombie dragon ships O_O.. Nonetheless, here is the U.S.S Banana (for scale)

 

I finally finished the empty grid so now anyone can download the ship. You can get it here.

 

First thing I did when I found a floran prison (after fighting off everyone in it) was to raid it for materials. I might try making it into a cool tree-ship like the one in Saga when I know for sure that the game and the mod are stable together, but I want to finish my house first and that's nowhere near done.

I used to have a line of different chests up at the top, but after finding a planet I liked enough to want to build a home on it, I moved my storage out of the ship and decided to use the top layer for crafting station stuff instead. It's definitely freed up a lot of space that was being taken up by chests full of seeds and clothing and other crap.

also, jesus christ, I cannot BELIEVE the ships you guys are building with mods.

heres my new project going to be a frigate/warship. its going to be a very large ship what you see is the front of the ship.

 

My ship design is based on the 1972 Movie, "Silent Running"
The host of my server owns a triple wide screen setup which made this screenshot possible.
This ship carries it's own fuel supply wherever she goes!
The glass dome is not enclosed at the top to allow for taller trees.
The ship is so wide that I decided to put in a skyrail.

You can fit the robotic crafting table in the very front of your ship, past the captain's chair.
