Legendary weapons underpowered?

To be honest i find that the legendary weapons are quite useless compared to the other weapons found in the game. About like, 70% of all weapons that drop from mobs are way better than a legendary weapon. I know they have special AOE abilities but i find that my Electric weapon is much more powerful than my Eyesword.

 

I find they are on average slightly better then normal weapons.
I think instead of "legendary" they should be called "slightly better"

 

This has been true for me as well, I find more non-legendary wepons in my games to be much better, knowing this is beta it may change I hope.

 

Yeah I found a legendary with 4 dps...

 

Just depends what threat level planet you're on. Find a legendary on threat level 10 and you'll be satisfied

It would be nice to be able to just find weapons that are better than what you can craft. I've yet to find anything stronger than the Impervium hammer you can craft with the Apex.

 

The trusty 12 DPS bonehammer I picked up in alpha sector still fares pretty well in gamma sector. The combined damage of the hit and bones together still seem to outclass most of the weapons I've found. The swing speed sucks but if it were any better it would probably just tear through everything.

I've only found two legendary weapons so far, but they weren't exactly terrible. The first was an eyesword in the alpha sector, and it carried me all the way to the robot fight, and around then I found a bonehammer, and it was basically a direct upgrade.

 

I have one of these as well and it ruins the day of anything stupid enough to attack me.

 

The only good legendaries seem to be at Tier 10

 

Legendaries are garbage at the moment. Same thing with guns only popping up in chests and blues never showing up off of mobs. The loot system is at Diablo 3(garbage) right now. We need to get it to Diablo 2(amazing) level of loot.

 

I found a legendary assault rifle

and the bullet splits into 4 shots (i found it in tier 10)

it sucks 8)

 

I'll have to agree most of the legendary weapons I'm coming across seem to be too weak or slow to be considered actual weapons...

 

Found ludicrous sniper rifle.
It had "split bullet" that came apart in this pattern [ qrTs=--- - - - <:] and able successfully hit only floor and ceiling.
It is totally moronic, even worse than "slowed bullet" thing.
Those things exist only to be competly usless, and they are.
Do I even have to mention that it was T10 disappointment in search for which i lost about 1,5 hours.

 

Compared to Impervium, that's shit.

 

You have no idea what you're talking about. You are just looking at the damage in the tool tip and making a direct comparison. This weapon unleashes 5 exploding bones in an arc. A direct hit on an enemy with this weapon does 7-8k damage.

Well, you know. An actual weapon desc' would be nice. Then I would understand.
