The guy's a writer. What makes you think he's even in the loop now? His job has been done for gods know how long.

 

Because there will obviously never be any sort of lore or quests or anything from here on out.

 

I blame Obama.

 

I'd be surprised if there wasn't and they'd surely contact him if they needed his help. That doesn't mean he has any access to actual current information. He's not needed for what they're doing now.

True, but it is the closest thing to some new information we have and he is surely closer to the 'loop' than anyone else on the forums here. So yes, nothing says this is true but it still brought a smile on my face

 

Not that I really think he's constantly in the loop, but I believe he was the one who originally said they were shooting for this weekend after getting permission to post that by the other devs.

 

It's only a vague suggestion if anything. You cannot guarantee that really anything will be done to get the patch out any time soon. It is already 21:15 (two minutes from now, gosh) in Britain. It is 'later tonight' already and I see no patch or update available, so you can assume that the update is on Monday (not sure if the devs do anything on Sunday).

Then maybe he is obsessively checking the game's status (Hail brother! You are not alone!) and is privy to the inside scoop. Still and all, it's pretty fuzzy intel to speculate with. I'd prefer something a bit more concrete from a hands-on source before I start finalizing my imminent retreat from society once the patch really hits the fan.

thursday it was 1-2 days out, I could feasibly believe they could finish it this evening and patch, but tomorrow would seem easier if there's that many loose ends to tie up?

About ready to uninstall and never look back. The game was fun, but having the release dates pass by with nothing but 'it'll be worth it' is really starting to take the wind out of my sails. Rather than being excited for when/if this patch comes out I'm sure the community will join me in feeling 'about friggin time'. If tomorrow passes with nothing but more promises of how good it'll be I'm done.

 

It'll be done when it's done... good enough for me.
