A one use tool that self destructs once you beam back down to the planet, the landing beacon would make returning to your ship to gather supplies and return to your specified point a bunch less tedious. If one were to leave orbit it would also self destruct. It could get complicated if you litter the galaxy with landing beacons. For landing pads, once placed and activated it will lock on to the planets information (atmosphere, air particle debris, things that effect beaming down) and can only be used on that planet. You can move it and put it where you want, but it will only work on that planet. It works the same as the beacon but doesn't blow up after the first use. I checked the last 4-5 pages of suggestions and didn't see anything like this. If it is a repeat, i'm sure someone will let me know It's pretty hard to believe no one thought of this earlier. (no offense to anyone. seriously.)
