I had this idea a while back while playing the beta when i realised i was just spending all of my time in my ship. What i wanted was a way to land the ship on a planet. I got thinking that you could craft four 'clamps' and material for a landing pad and make a long straight platform on a planet. (Make it an expensive thing to do obv) Then when orbiting a planet with a landing pad you would have the option to land. I understand you want to try and encouragethe user to have a homebase but shouldnt we space hobos have a choice too! I think it would also be a good way to upgrade yourship, manualy crafting weapons and expansions and (if possible) attaching them where you want them on the ship. Awe well just an idea, sorry for any spelling/grammar errors im on my phone on the train and its late!
