Koala and Giraffe storage files missing from 1.0, Steam

    Can someone tell me and/or confirm that this is actually happening? I have several characters and a universe that I would NOT like to lose, but practically need to reinstall all of Starbound from the bottom-up.

    It was announced that with 1.0 all data will be wiped. That's because the old files are incompatible. Someone said that it is at least possible to export old characters via starcheat and import them into the new format. I don't know if that will work because a lot of new data is stored inside the characters since 1.0 The data-folder is now named storage.

    No, the files \giraffe_storage and \koala_storage have gone missing. In addition, I'm not sure if this messes with mods or not.

    Because the folders don't exist in 1.0 anymore.
