Outdated Kineptic Race Mod 12-22-2015

Umm...ok but WHAT allows you to craft them? The weaver is all that can be made without crystal components...

 

Ohhhhh, yeah, redownload the mod. I put out a hotfix for that. Oopsie~
You can now craft the plinth with cobble, glass, and healing water, then make polished crystal from there.

 

I feel like, just to add to a bit of humor, make it sort of like the Novakids except a Top Hat and the Master Hand, waving some Magic dust over it. The hat shakes and the Kineptic peeks out

Its actually a box that shakes, when it drops open, the kineptic peeks out and then back into the box before it dissolves into the kineptic as a magical box of wonders, and since they're magical cats, the box is magical too!

 

Make it a hat. A top hat. To go with the magician space cat theme.

We'll see. As time has gone on, I'm starting to wonder if "Magician Space Cat" is really an accurate portrayal of them. Quite frankly, I've told myself more stories about their history before their advent as an interstellar species than what has gone on after. "Magician" is a bit of a misnomer, to say the least. The blurb on the front page isn't exactly accurate anymore, either. I wrote that up back when the idea was just in its infancy and more of a joke. They've become much more serious and personal to me since then. That's not to say I'm abandoning the whole magician aspect of it--it's just not as big of an aspect as people think it is.

"Thaumaturge" feels like a more fitting term. It means "wonder-worker" and has less to do with hocus pokus and more with delving into the deeper unknowns of the universe and how it works, as I understand it.

If I might make a tiny suggestion? Perhaps making the 'spell' attack be modifiable to include effects like Burning, Poison, etc?

 

I don't think it's necessary--a charged t4 can almost one-shot a common monster on the equivalent tiered planet. That's already pretty powerful. Don't worry about lack of spells, though... you'll get them in due time (combat update).
