killing through a brick wall ? really?

Hi there folks,

Just want to find out what people think to and un-realistic issue what is bugging me.When you build a house and say a mob is on the roof you can strike your sword and it will hit the mob through walls this seems to be cheating as if this is the case why cant mob projectiles hit you through walls it the balance isn't right what you think folks?

I agree, you shouldn't be able to strike through walls, but your logic is flawed. A sword isn't a projectile.

 

If it seems like a bug you should report it as a bug, or if it's a suggestion that you think players should not be able to hit through walls (I think it's kind of an exploit myself), then put it in a suggestion thread.

 

Because they can, in fact, do so. I've seen people killed by rocket launcher explosions that clipped through walls and killed them in 1 hit.

It happens, it's just rare because the mobs dont try and attack you through the wall. But if they can see you, like through a tiny hole, and they have a small projectile or an AoE attack, it can hit you.

 

indeed. projectiles cant but mobs with melee weapons can very much hit you through walls.

 

Very true but its the principle of something effecting something on the other side of the wall every thing should then be able to effect through walls.

 

Mob projectiles can't go through walls, just like your own can't. But their melee and your melee swipes both can. fair ground if you ask me.

 

It's a beta. It will be fixed.

 

ah is see, i dont think melee attacks should be able to hit through walls as whats the point of a wall ?

 

I don't think this is a bug but yeah i'm sure they will rectify this.

 

It's a bug. Tiy knows about it. It was addressed in a pre-beta stream.
