Why are points a bad thing?

 

the person with the least points wins, unless someone has ALL the points, in which case they SUPER-win.
when you get all the points they call it "Shooting the Moon" and it's basically a case of "you failed so hard you won."

 

If only it worked like that in real life...

They got that part right... Also why do these games look so similar?

 

I don't know about the second one, but Total Biscuit made a video about the first one. Different font for every menu part/meter, controls are apparently horrible, inapropriate music, low quality textures and freaking lasers.
