Just one more Ore

Could you go into more details? I've not played very far (only tier 3), but I don't get what non-coal version of what thing you skip... Or is this something from later tiers?

 

I think he is referring to the ores in later tiers that can be refined using coal. Like you get Steel from an Iron Bar and a piece of Coal?

 

Okay, I got steel. But what new blueprint allows me to make steel without coal...? Or... wait, I can also get it for pixels, right? Is that the blueprint? Then I don't get why you need more ore, and I also have no idea why I need 40 steel to get the blueprint...

 

You cannot make Steel without Coal. Same as you need Titanium AND Coal to make Durasteel, Aegisalt and coal to make Ferozium and Rubium and Coal to make Impervium. I think....

 

Aegisalt + coal = ... something... requires 40 bars to use a tech blue print to allow you to create armors/weapons out of them... sorry I didn't mean to spoiler or confuse.

So tier 5 and 6 armor are aegisalt and ageisalt + coal
tier 7 and 8 are ... something and something+coal
tier 9 and 10 are ... something and impervium (something +coal)

I skip 5,7 and 9.

 

I too dig straight down until I hit lava or a cave, if cave go exploring, no cave, save and quit then reload, and move a bit further on the surface and try again.
