If this was already thought of or already in the plans, once again, please politely tell me so I can bang my head on the desk for not searching hard enough. So maybe I'm borrowing a bit too much from borderlands, but a junkyard planet sounds like it would be a lot of fun to explore. Just a planet with a lot of broken scraps everywhere. It would be interesting to dig in, not to find ore but to find tech. Also kinda expanding off of this idea a bit, planets that look like the apocalypse happened. It would be an amazingly fun change of pace to dig around old buildings and such in a planet you land on, only finding life in some insects and robots left around.
That would be really cool! Maybe instead of dirt or sand blocks you can dig through piles of trash haha I really hope they put this in.
Interesting. And maybe, on a quest, you need to go all across the planet to find, like, three different power nodes with which you'll upgrade your Mech to be able to fly, or something... ~ockpii
Well, we already discussed a trash/garbage planet in another thread on this forum but the idea of a Pandora-like world has some merit... Despite the splash Borderlands is making I don't think anyone has suggested a Badlands-type planet. Desert, most certainly, but not badlands.
Wall E planet is perhaps what u are thinking ranging from pre industrial scrap maybe through to futureistic abandoned technology
Wall-E was my first though as well. A planet that has been left behind by its former civilization, filled with broken down cities and ALOT of scrap. Sure, you could get lucky and find some nice abandoned tech, you could use. Or get in trouble with its new wildlife, that has overrun the place.
I wouldn't mind taming one of them for a pet. Make him run around and possibly act as a second set of hands for resource gathering (yes, I know what I said against automating mining but come on, it's your own pet Wall-E man...)
Never played it so I wouldn't know. But yeah, wonder if Tiy and the others will be able to give us a junkyard planet.
