So, my favorites are: Hiraki (The Accidental Terrorist Fish), ChucklePuppy (Duh), Laika (First dog in space) aaaaaaand Starhound. Actually, Starhound is what the fanbase will call her, most likely.

 

Name her Starbark! Xd that would be awesome!

Edit: or anything that starts or ends in "Star". Hey how about Starfire? (Totally not Teen Titians Junkie... heh heh...)

If any of you have played Megaman Zero 4, Tiy must really feel like zero choosing the cyber-elfs name while looking through the comments, lol; but there is always the option of making your own name.

Call her Belle, it means beautiful in french, call your puppy beautiful

 

Hmm... I do like "Koala". It fits the Starbound theme. And it sounds both cute and a bit feminine. Also, unlike some other suggestions, it's only two syllables. This makes it easy to say without resorting to a nickname.

Aside from Koala, I think my preference would be Chuckles.

Quadraped doesn't sound cute at all. And even shortened to "Quad", it still doesn't sound right for a dog. More like slang for a 4-wheeler or dorm housing.

Anyway, as someone has already suggested, if you're still having trouble deciding on a name, perhaps there should be a poll to figure the 3 most popular names, from which Tiy (or the staff) chooses? If you don't choose, then before long the name "puppy" will stick...

Wouldn't 800 million photos be rather a lot? Heck, I'm not sure you could fit that many on a terrabyte drive.

Also, it might require security cameras taking at least 1 photo a second around the clock, 365 days a year, for the life of the dog... Actually, assuming a good lifespan of 14 years, that's only about 440 million, or a bit over half that amount!
