I like how it still looks like a spaceship. It's not just a train with a rocket strapped to it (though that would be funny)
I know! Let's do a POLL THREAD! We all know how well those turn out every single time one is posted! http://community.playstarbound.com/...n-have-a-warmer-not-green-color-scheme.82650/ Enjoy the mayhem the very... civilized... discussion? What? That's not possible. Nevermind. Just go vote.
Oh, question for ya... have you any teases on what the expanded ship will look like? Few of us have talked elsewhere about how you'll are planning to enlarge the ship without making it look like a carnival-train or one of those long-assed CNR trains that blocks traffic for hours up here in Canada.
It's been said before but the color is, well... It lacks authenticity. Black would be more appropriate because of the kind of metal those steam engines were made of at the time. Plus come on, black is the iconic train color - well, for westerns anyway. It probably doesn't matter since I'm gonna reskin mine to look like Thomas the mother&^#%ing Tank Engine anyway, but still.
Everything about the novakids leaves me indifferent. It's not bad, but Bietol did a great job with the mod.
What if you could paint your ship in a very generic manner by allowing the player to choose colors for various color slots of the ship motif. (Colors would be auto-shaded but player could choose the brightness as well) Example: Color 1 (Base Coat): Player chooses Silver Color 2 (Pipes) : Player chooses Gold Color 3 (Optional Parts 1): Player chooses Copper Color 4 (Optional Parts 2): Player chooses Crimson
The ship as it currently is has way too much of a hard sci-fi feel to it. I'd like to see less techno-plating, neon, and UNSC-like yellow and black warning labels. Otherwise it feels out of place in the game.
I like the design, has a steampunk wild west feel to it, yet like every one else the green is just disturbing.
