Someone on page 13 mentioned something about the cockpit of the train being on the back of the ship instead of the front. Who ever it was that said it, I agree with them. Also, the Thomas image posted above made me laugh lol
I hope to god that the ship upgrades are space-train cars!! I want to be engineering a Galaxy Railway SDF train.
Giving it some thought, what about the possibility of adding a new static area that will let you repaint your ship with possible designs, patterns, selected colors and etc? You can't make everyone happy with a single color, but you can appease them by giving them choice over it.
Modded it into a nightly build to see how it would look using the default color schemes, looks pretty nice to me (Tele pad, shiplocker, tech station, door, and fuel were clones of the nightly build human versions, just recolored.)
i tried some recoloring myself with simple darkgrey and red. i would also like to see the thruster under the cockpit and an extended cow-catcher to cover it. replacing the pistons below the port room. some kind of docking device at the back as placeholder for the ship upgrades. first ship expansion should be the tender.
I think green is a good traditional colour for a steam engine. And Henry from Thomas the tank engine would probably agree. Although maybe a more orange hue would work better thematically with Novakids.
Hey, maybe we can put all these recolors into a good modpack for the train specifically. I'm sure people do recolors of the other ships, both custom and vanilla, so maybe it'll be a good idea to do such a thing for the train, seeing how some nice color schemes are being presented /edit Seems someone already began doing that pack idea before I made the pitch lol. Oh well Xp
