I notice you hinted neighbour aware outpost tiles. Meaning either the pipping system in the outpost is not just for show and actually serves a purpose. Or... the pipes just reorient them selves based on the direction the previous pipes are facing. Either way looks good. ======== Has a decision been made if the new Merge system is going to be integrated?
So with this new energy pool system, will the turret automatically turn itself off after a while/being hit enough anymore?
OMG yes. Customizable turrets!!!!! Question that may have already been answered: Since some guns require more energy than the base amount you are given, will turrets have a default starting energy pool as well? If so, will there be some way to 'upgrade' them to increase their energy pool and allow for stronger more energy demanding guns to be used?

Oh... What fun this will bring. And hey, at least now my old guns wont have to be tossed out. They can kill people without me. But back to more important maters of how awesome my homestead will be with automated cannons defending the perimiter, and not expensive guard NPCs.
this is good news for us since people do want some traps or turrets to expel monsters and hey Meta? if you are still putting in data.. why not add turrets to something like prisons, Apex labs and more secured buildings.. that people have to disable them by using switch or destroy them but they don't get the loot inside smashed metal.. but try to add it on high mode of planet threat levels.. just put it next to where you first get a gun around that mark and higher.. i just don't want to see some noobs that walking along near buildings to get killed and then rage over forums for something senseless but for lower modes.. why not add crossbow/arrow traps or spear wall that is pressed on switch with that wiring system you use to connect lights and add exploding weapons like grenades and more

Took me a bit of time to find a good balance there, but they should be able to get about as many shots out with a level 10 rifle as with a level 1 rifle before running out of energy. Any kind of gun (hopefully, I obviously haven't tested every gun in the game)! Even crossbows. I tried to fix that, I really did. Unfortunately there is some weirdness there. When querying for entities you can choose to only query targets that are valid targets of the turret, based on its damage team. This works very well on monsters for targeting only aggressive monsters. So it still targets all NPCs. I just don't really know enough about damage teams to be able to fix that one yet, if it is possible. Hopefully in the future.
Cool! Turrets using guns sounds great! How many guns can we pack onto it though? Will we only be able to install one, or can we use more gun?

Is the issue resolved where those auto-turrets (the old type at least) not shoots the NPCs created by the items one can create oneself? Was fun to use those as defence but turned out that it was more harmful to my own settlement then to the beasts trying to attack it.
