Huh.. odd.. for me there was always an odd world generation bug which caused a large part of the underground to not generate, leaving me to fall to my death.
So I never managed to get that far.. looks kinda disappointing I must say. I hope they'll follow in Terraria's footsteps and make some special area + boss down there.

    Hi,

Cool I never thought about trying to get to the centre of a planet since its just lava al over.

I tried that once. The lava spilled over the tunnel and rained down upon me, trapping me and leaving me to suffer a horrible fate. Fortunately, I covered myself in dirt and drained much of the lava away. I managed to get to the surface alive.

Plants core with rare ores, but mining too much can make the planet unstable and cause it to explode into an asteroid biome. If its a Tentacle planet, there's a tentacle boss that you can battle.

I just love the fact that you blocked all the magma with dirt and snow.

Yeah, video game logic is the best isn't it?
"Damnit we need to block lava.. let's use snow! :D"

    Looks pretty cosy down there.

Which is probably why the first thing I thought was "OK, now kiss each other."

Remind me again why one can't tunnel through the the other side (in the game, not in real life)? Starbound does such a great job of making a world feel circular... but I have a feeling it is not, yes?

no, it isn't circular. if it was that would actually make the first quest (on the nightly) to repair your ship's thrusters a nightmare, because with the winding course you have to take to be able to get back to the surface without killing yourself or savequitting you would run a serious risk of just missing the core altogether and not realizing until you popped back up on the surface an hour later

My ressearch has concluded that water, in fact, does NOT extinguish the raging firebeast.
