I got the hots for Jodi as soon as she hit me up for some cauliflower for her curry recipe. A woman who loves to cook interesting meals is just my thing... and she looks good enough to eat. What a downer when I found she's already hitched! Anybody know a way to talk her around? I'm not afraid of her husband, really. Pixels don't have feelings!
I don't think you can romance her...though I have asked a question about (and made a suggestion about how to handle it) whether it would be in the cards to make it so you can "take" the married people (though in her case it's actually much easier to handle, heh). I didn't want it to be you actually STEALING them from their spouse, though...cause that would be wrong...but I gave an alternative for it. Whether CA does it or not, who knows...but I'd like to at least see my suggestion for Jodi taken up myself cause...well...she's my type as well.
This game brought out the homewrecker in me, 12/10 would steal Kent away from Jodi. Please take her away so I can tend to Kent
Unfortunately, I suspect a 'homewrecker' update is even less likely than a 'polyamory' update. I would kinda love both, but you know... Not likely.
Of course in a smaller community the change in partner status would have to be consensual, and even then some would be outraged. But Kireian, I would seriously like to help you out of your loneliness. I would like to know more about what it takes to be an aquatic astronaut, also. Snorkeling on coral reefs in the tropics has been a high point for me. Is it something like that? Care to share your selfies?
Oh I dislike Pierre, ever since I heard a rumor that he was growing eggplants in his backyard I knew KNEW he was taking credit for MY eggplants. Those are MY EGGPLANTS PIERRE AND YOU BLOODY WELL KNOW IT
HE IS? that basterd I though the eggplants was going to the community, I never knew... I just wanted him cuz he was married didnt know he was taking credit for others efforts thats gonna cost him Caroline, if/when there gets out a mod or CA update the game to wreck marriages
After some despicable save file editing, I have in fact destroyed Jodi's marriage with Kent and convinced her to move in with me. Main side effect is that Jodi doesn't have a kissing animation (as it was never intended for her to be a marriage option) so when you try to kiss her she turns into two blue lines for the duration of the animation. After it ends, she goes back to normal. Seems like she has regular "married life" dialogue, calls you dear and on the day I tested it out it was raining so she was urging me to be careful about not spending too much time in the rain etc. Typical marriage dialogue strings really. Basically, it's possible.
I like to think that I'm really not a terrible person but then I do things like this. Here are some pictures showing Jodi as your wife: Here There Everywhere Oh, and these are the blue lines I mentioned when you try to kiss her. Like I said, she goes back to her normal sprite after the animation is done, she simply doesn't possess the animation for kissing. I should also have mentioned that while she does bring with her a room extension, um, she doesn't bring anything to put IN the room... She makes breakfast too so it's fair to say as long as you string her correctly to be married and fix the rest of the strings to be accurate, she will act like a regular wife as much as is able.
It great that she doesnt bring anything, since then we can add anything we like in the extended part ^^ Do I would feel kinda bad myself for Kent if I stole his great wife and leave him with his 2 kids that he doesnt know that well, but you save alot of lonely hearts giving them Jodi. One lonely Kent might be worth sacrificing for the good of many
Well not quite anything you like. You can't do anything with the flooring or the wallpaper. In fact, there's technically no wall. Idk how to fix that particular problem, might be able to find something in the save file but I'm dubious as it seems to be linked to actual data files rather than the save file.
'these are the blue lines' As long as we're talking 'blue' movies, I don't see why divorce isn't an option. I mean, consider the alternative... very French, no?
Welp. Afterscore once again steps in to kick reason to the curb and go beyond the impossible. Bravo, good sir. Now if some friendly modder could just figure out a way to enable multiple marriages. Me/Abby/Wizard OT3
Ahh.. Aquatic Astronaut is an indie rock group out of Columbus. Looks like four guys LOL. Another broken heart for me.
I still think there's a scenario where it wouldn't be considered "Homewrecking" for Caroline, Robin, and Jodi...........and Pierre and Demetrius too, I guess. The scenario I came up with was...if you get Robin/Demetrius or Caroline/Pierre to 8 hearts...then you get a scene where you get to make a dialogue choice with them during a conversation. If you pick the 'right' choice then a few days later there will be another scene where they have a fight with their spouse, which results in their divorce. In the process of it, it'll reset your heart rating to them to 2 hearts, that way you have to get it back up again (to discourage the "splitting up" part I guess...or at least make you REALLY think about it). Then you can get the 2/4/6/8/10 heart scenes, and marry them (even getting special side room bits for them! ). The "story" for this, I'd leave up to CA of course (I just pointed out the scenario, heh)...or for a modder. Of course, you also have to go to the right place for this scene to occur. In the case of these two couples, there could be two "empty" houses set up in the town somewhere where if they get divorced, they will end up moving into one of them. Jodi is a special case, though...and even if Robin, Demetrius, Caroline and Pierre aren't done...there's really no reason why Jodi couldn't be done. The scenario I had in mind for Jodi is this (using spoiler tags, cause REASONS!)... You have to get Jodi to 8 hearts BEFORE the end of the first year, when Kent returns. If you do that, then if you go to the right location at the right time (like with any other scene), then you'll get a cutscene with her. Again, you'll have a dialogue option during it...and if you pick the right choice, it turns out that we find out her husband DIES right after the new year starts...and there's a letter for the funeral or something like that. Basically, she becomes a widow. Now, her hearts would be reset to 2 as well, and you'd have to wait 28 days (a full season, basically)...before she gets "single" status and you can see her 2/4/6/8/10 heart scenes. I think at the very least, there wouldn't be anything wrong with the scenario I put forth for Jodi, though...of course...I'm not good at actual story/conversation stuff...so I can't really do it myself, heh. =x
