Can the collars make useless critters into killing machines? Also can it make pets actually follow? I caught a cat in the nightlies and it just ran away from me

 

Just starved to death in the new nightly. Very nice! Space is all about feeling the press of a vast, empty, cruel, and uncaring universe.

Very happy to see food resource management come back. It sounds like the system will be a bit more interesting this time around as well. Very nice. I hope temperature, especially cold comes back as well. More dangerous nights might be interesting as well. Having to wait out the night by a fire, in a cave, cooking up the alien meat I'd collected the day before is a memory that stuck with me from earlier in the game's development.

 

There is (or was, might have been removed) a bomb collar in nightly. It causes pet's that die to explode. So in a way even the most useless pet (a cute bunny for example) can be a lethal weapon.

 

I hope it was removed... thats just morbid, exploitable murder

 

I don't. I want my cute bunny guard dogs that explode.

 

I get the reference, but don't expect me to like it.

 

It would be cool if Novakid armour had some kind of bomb collar effect. That would be really fun.

N.B. When I tested it, bomb collar didn't detonate the wearer suicidally, it simply created an explosion directly following its death. Much like the barrels from Doom.

 

Where do I get collars in the nightly? Is there someone at the outpost that sells them? Or do you just find/craft them?

 

Passive pets. So my Sharkdog won't get rekt all the time . Will it also help with pets that chew on furniture? Sharkdogs have a very big appetite.

 

Will there be a way to differentitate my pet from enemies of the same species easily?

 

So when pets die, will they be gone permanently, or will they just go back into the pod?

 

cant wait for the new survival patch!

 

Not something I awaiting, but a nice addition none the less. I probably would make for the oblivious collar, as I more likely rather just have a cute little thing follow me around on my adventures.
