Heeey. This songpack is absolutely amazing! By far my favorite on the site. (So. Many. Good. Video game tracks.)

You said you're open to requests on the page, so I thought I might leave some suggestions here.

BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, Jet Set Radio/Jet Set Radio Future.

All three of those game series have downright amazing soundtracks. Don't think I've seen any other songpack on here with anything from 'em either.

Just went and picked 4 of my favorites from each. I don't know how doable any of them are, making them into starbound songs, but hearing being able to play even one of them would be awesome.

Any songs from any of those three games would be amazing to be able to play in game. -Nod-

I 100% am certain I cannot fit in songs from the new guilty gear, still unsure on jet set and blazblue.

That being said, I need more suggestions, because I just don't have enough!

and that I'm running out of game ost to insert that is irrelevant to the requests, mostly because alot of songs are not available in midi format or exceptionally difficult to transcribe from mp3 to midi. If it wasn't for that limitation, updates for this pack wouldn't be an issue.

 

Aw. That's alright though.

I do have more than a couple more game OSTs I can think of that would be awesome, although, question.

Is there anything to keep an eye out for that would be potential warning signs for songs that you can't really make work? Like song length, how much beats, etc? Might help narrow down stuff. Anyhow, I'll get on those OST Links.

 

Song length mostly doesnt make a difference. So long as a song has a decent quality in comparison to the song, I'll use it. At the same time, I am trying to stay away from songs in other packs, primarily might music, considering the pack is over 2000 songs large, but consist of pretty common tracks (Since this is the case, it is one of the main reasons why Chrono Trigger songs or many Legend of Zelda songs are few and far between or not even on the list, to name a few examples. Few times I will include these songs though, if requested, or it's just a really good song.

Once again why I said I couldn't fit in your songs, at least the ones I could find so far, are not able to be implemented because the midis don't exist. It's during this I attempt to convert the MP3 version of the song to midi format and try to transcribe the song from there, which is a nightmare 99% of the time. That's why there's so few yellow tracks currently on the list. Easiest method to find songs are finding either synthesia renditions or individual covers with a single instrument, regardless of it having a midi or not, it's easier than the typical song to transcribe.

In addition to this, the only songs that still won't be included usually consist of:
-Heavy heavy emphasis on a drum track, such as like a portion of the song devoted to a drum solo or such, or large drum sections
-Song pales in comparison to the original in terms of note transcribing or just sounds downright awful in starbound
-Starbound Composer cannot comprehend the beat count (This has happened before, I'd say likely to happen more if a song changes beat tempo mid song)
-Emphasis on the song sounds just downright awful in starbound
-The song is not video game OST

I've turned down lots of my own choices because the song just sounds bad. It is also this reason that the blazblue songs and jet radio songs may not sound good in the game but I do not know, I am browsing for them tonight. Even if this is the case, just cause it's a request I will probably put it in if I can, if it exists regardless!

This mod entirely consists of videogame ost.

 

Well in the case, there is a couple songs i was listening to on youtube that reminded me of this mod. So there I was. Wandering from planet to planet looking for cool loot to decorate my home planet, with. and then i heard these 2 songs in my playlist. Go ahead and check em out.
