Hey, do you all think dungeons should be listed because of terrible drops, or are the blocks for them good enough?

being fun doesn't make it useful, though.
Storing all your crafting stations/items/etc on your ship is far more convenient and safer. So far there doesn't seem to be enough stuff to really need more space than the ship provides.

I got one of these beauties from a dungeon : [IMG]

That makes them okay in my book even if they are shameless, Nintendo hard insta-kill fests.

    About leaving planets or not:

Does the game encourage you to leave your planet? Sort of, I guess. Mining and underground exploration aren't that fun to me, and you'll have found everything there is on the surface after one pass. That said, being encouraged to leave is not the same as being encouraged to leave FOREVER. You can set your planet as your Home and go back whenever you want.

The biggest problem is that unless you're in the same star system you have to spend 400 fuel every time you return home (200 to get there, then 200 more to leave) and that is not cost effective at all. I think they should reduce the fuel cost to return to your home. Or do that teleport system that was mentioned earlier.

Nah. The drops suck, but the blocks are good.

I'd like to point out that you're playing a video game. Being fun is literally the only reason why Starbound exists, therefore anything that allows you to have more fun is automatically useful to that end.

But, being fun IS the point of the game :)

Yeah, ores are in the "Fixed" section, even with a "They were never useless, Kudos devs." because they can also be used to repair tools.

less Nintendo Hard, more Capcom Hard. Especially with that teleportation thing.

Also, I got one too. heehee. And a "Keep calm and ########" poster. with the "######" being a scribbled out word.

Dungeons are pretty useless unless you're hard up for stimpacks. Human prisoner NPCs tend to drop them by the bucketload.
Until they fix the loot tables for them, they're pretty broken.

  15. How is the morphball tech useless? I've made tunnels for that thing! I have a few ideas planned for community evens revolving out use of the morphball! Psh, useless.....maybe you need some imagination!

Maybe implement a way to do it under certain conditions like a ship upgrade or something, but the current method of stick some dirt to the wall and put some seeds in it is kinda special.

I suspect the "broken loot tables" for dungeons are already in the priority list. SB got released, largely as a result of the community begging for it loudly and claiming they just wanted to play, even if it was broken. That thread is in this forum somewhere. Sans community pressure, I think Tiy and crew would still be working on this behind closed doors in order to launch a more complete beta, and, once released, we wouldn't have some of these issues to complain about.

Morphball has given me the ability to make so many secret hideouts to hide from griefers on public servers it's not even funny. You'd be surprised just how many people overlook a small tunnel that they can't fit in.
