im a been waiting since 5th grade
and i have directx 11 and my driver is up to date

 

Have you been running it in opengl?

 

i have the actual version doesn't work
i click launch starbound and it doesn't do anything
just sits there the starbound window doesn't even open

 

So you haven't been able to run it at all?

What are your computer specs?

 

i have the same problem... i know how you feel mate. We are just gonna have to sit in the corner and listen to the other people who can play the game have fun and wait our turn. Question is when do we stop feeling so depressed and cheated? aka. when will the game ever work?

Your RAM is a bit low, most systems have at least 4GB.
I think the Intel 3100 has some compatibility issues with, well, everything.

I'm guessing this is a low-end notebook. Starbound has some serious optimization issues right now, and the devs seem to be focusing on content and balance before getting that fixed up. Do you close the program when the logo pops up or do you let it keep running? Sometimes it just takes a long time to load and goes unresponsive until it does.

Have you tried running in OpenGL mode? (Second button on the bottom of the launcher.)

 

i have tried running opengl
and i have a desktop not even a notebook
and my computer can run left for dead 2 on medium graphics idk whats wrong

Again, have you left the game running after the "crash"? Try waiting five minutes or so. What exactly happens when it stops working?

 

i think 20 is enough and after that it close on its own
i have no control over that situation
the devs wanted people to test it why aren't they fixing the people's problems

 

No need to be so hostile toward the devs, they are working their asses off.

They can't help every single person, they have priorities.

A fix for your problem will eventually be resolved.
