You can pick up torches after you lay them. I light my way forwards with one, and pick up the last one I use. I only ever need around 10 torches at a time maximum.

Granted that's not ideal, but at the stage of the game where we're still using torches it makes sense.

The only change I would make would be to make mining picks one handed tools, so you can light your way with a flashlight and mine at the same time. Logging axes are one handed so why not.

 

Yeah I was reading that what's the betting they will take hours to get to, meaning hours of annoyance at the lack? Says Eled of the glass half empty.

 

Someone made a mod that was a lightbulb backpack just for this kind of prob Now I just saw it is going to be added ingame in the next update u will be fine .
