Issues surrounding hotfix 2 for Enraged Koala

omg why would anyone do this to themselves

 

I'm sorry if this has been stated already, but are newly placed crates on planets stable, or will they continue to disappear too?

 

Good question... I don't think anyone has tried yet. I've been watching this thread for a while and haven't heard anything about that.

 

Look up my tip from earlier. That should atchive exactly what you're needing.

 

I've re-placed all my lockers and crates on my planet (losing quite a bit to de-spawn aparently) so hopefully they will stay there.

 

You could say this patch is leaving some players feeling sorta... enraged?


In other terms, if I were you guys, I wouldn't delete my character! Maybe regenerate your ship like Omni said, if you're desperate don't mind losing what was in it and keep playing, or wait it out for the devs to release a new patch. Either way, you still have access to all the sectors you've unlocked, and your bases, Right? And you have cleared the bosses, why would you delete your character and throw that away if you don't have to? ;A; in just a few hours I've already rebuilt a lot of what was lost omg
(or maybe i just lucked out this time... keeping nearly all of my items on my planet.)

 

So you're saying, because we didn't have all of our containers full, its our fault they were deleted?

Ha, just kidding. But... I still have no ship locker. When do you expect that to be worked out?

did they fix the reseting wire system in this patch? if not, im not downloading it.

 

I did back up my ship, but nothing I seem to do will give me ship lockers or fuel hatches. Even if I regenerate a completely new ship.

 

Yea me too! I was very excited to hear this.
I keep wanting to know if it the the racial abilities or something else coming out.

I just want to add that I really don't care that the error occurred nor do I expect CF to implement some way to restore corrupted character files. HOWEVER, I would like to see some official communications from the devs on whether they plan to hotfix the build so that previously saved backup files can be used without issue. I have no problem waiting to play until issues are resolved, but the dev team needs to find a way to integrate previous backup files with the current build.

I suspect if this message was clearly sent from the beginning, there would not have been as much negative feedback on the forums and reddit.

 

There would be less complaints if you guys had understood the difference between an Alpha and a Beta, and didn't prematurely moved to Beta when the game wasn't even done Alpha stage.

 

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, last I heard; the 'racial abilities' are tied to each race's final-tier armor. The races themselves are purely aesthetic.

 

I had mie backed up, yet i cant find the back up file and now my stuff is gone. And this screwed my main guy. A whole new start now :/ Im fine with it, but still....

 

Thank god I saved my stuff in the Freezer it didn't dissapear

 

ARRRRRRRGH!!!!!! I had gotten into the habit of backing up both my player file AND my universe file after I lost my homeworld the first time and so, after seeing my ship locker missing the first thing I did was restore my backups only to find my ship locker STILL MISSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had good stuff in there that I had spent HOURS getting, and I thought it was the "safe" place to store stuff, and NOW IT IS GONE!!! I am NOT happy and will not be playing again until I cool down enough to look at the damn screen without thinking about what I have lost. I AM SO MAD!!!

 

If the devs have any credibility they'd move the development stage from 'beta' back to Alpha. All this is quite amateurish imo.
