Bug/Issue Issue with hanging items

Hi. Posting here to see if anyone has any idea. I have been having major issues with hanging up the paintings you get in game, as well as even putting things in my house. I've only upgraded once. I cannot hang up any paintings or the calendar. It either gives me a small noise, or it tells me one of two errors, depending on what it is. A painting/calendar says "Must be placed on a wall", a furniture type object says "Cannot be placed on a person" or something similar, even if I clearly am not trying to sit it on me, and the cat is no where around. I really do not want to have to restart the game from scratch. Any tips would help. Thank you!

 

I am having this issue as well on my game(xbox 1) really frustrating!! Im fully upgraded yet cant hang my pictures or calendar, did you figure it out or get help?

 

Actually, I was told a way that actually works. Instead of using the buttons (A for XBox?) Use the joysticks instead. Make sure you're back, then use the stick to move it into place. Then use the button to actually place it. Little bit extra work but it's working for me. I hope it helps you!

 

Yep, its the right side toggle, tadda. All dolled up now

 

I am having this issue on Mac.. can't hang my calendar in the house. I tried all the walls. Paintings are fine though. ideas?
