Its me, Dynafols, bwahahahahaahahhaha....... :barefeet: (The picture is towards the bottom) Anyways, I decided to give the contest a shot. Now this is basically a boss monster which is a giant fish thing. I don't have any pixel art or anything like that, but I did doodle something with a pencil. I'm not the best but.... atleast it should hopefully give an idea of what it looks like. Head - Its head is special. When it fights you, it will basically charges you, make spins while in water, try to bite you, jump out of the water and then back into the water, and it can break through certain blocks, like ice and such. Its head is covered in a thick metal like armor, allowing it to break through these blocks so that it can make its acrobatic swimming maneuvers. Head Spikes - When it reaches the half-way mark, these spikes grow longer, they hurt. O yea, and when you're on a thin piece of land over water, like ice or something, these things are gonna pop up while its under you, so you can't chill on land forever. Back Veins - Nothing special about these except for looks and a way of seeing it's life. The veins themselves should be a pulsing light blue light, while the space around it should be dark blue. When the beast dies the light blue veins die out. Big Fin - Just a big fin, it spreads out when in water, don't get hit by it. Spud "Hairs" - When this monster is nearly half-way dead, these weird and harmless looking tentacle things change, not in a good way. What happens is at the half way mark, this monster will release a roar, get ready to cover your eyes. Because when it releases this roar, these tentacle things straighten out, turning into viscous spikes which will not only make it harder to dodge, but if you do get hit by them, you'll get either poisoned, terribly sick, or start to bleed, or even all of them! And if that wasn't enough, when these spikes appear, the spuds will pop out flying all over the place, making a flash to anyone near them, blinding them temporally (this only occurs once, during the transformation). Feet / Legs - Basically how it walks/swims around. Tail Fin - Rather interesting, it almost acts like a pump when it needs to get some speed, really quickly. So if you get behind it some how, you might get sprayed. How to kill it - I haven't worked that out to much... try to do as much damage as you can while its on dry land, but it won't jump out unless you can manage to "trick" it to do one of it's maneuvers to get it onto land, (you have to be underwater 9/10). EDIT: When submerged in water, it can do a "spin" that causes the currents change, such as making them move towards it. Enviroment - They are vary rare creatures as it is, but sightings have been spotted in Flooded Jungles and Barren Frozen Wastelands. This way, they can hide and maneuver around the underwater vines and dark places, or scare you by breaking through the ice. And its also because its some type of ancient sea monster, almost like a Mesozoic beast that went through an ice age. So you could find it in both those areas. (Sorry for it being a bit awkward the way I described it) My copy machine wasn't working so I used my camera :/ Imagine it has legs behind the ways you can see. EDIT: I decided to "redraw" it, but in its half-way mark while underwater. I also decided to add some markings to its sides, they should be pulsing light green light. As for colors, mainly blue, light blue, maybe some dark violent for the spikes and nails, either blue or pure white for the eyes, and the spud parts, (the actual spud part, not the tentacle spike thing), should be yellow. (I hate, HATE, coloring in sketches, sorry but its a pain in the neck for me). Ok, its "official", I'm choosing the name Isonade for my monster. Well yea.... thats my pathetic attempt :/
There are some very interesting concepts with visual boss deterioration that I find pleasing. Neat concept, could use a bit more detail on fighting style (that's my only request at the moment). Also regarding the name: Keep that.
