Don't buy it. Just find a dropped weapon.

 

I don't know...it is a brick on a stick.....

It's best just to craft your own species weaponry instead of buying them.

 

i dont know how to make anything except iron junk which sucks

 

The only reason you would even want to get the recipe for another races tier 1 (brick on a stick is tier 1 right?) weapon, would be if you wanted to collect all the schematics or whatnot (what with last tier weapons no being needed for anything else past that tier).

 

Once you get past the iron stage the weapons get better. You just need to be either really agile while fighting the boss or be crafty and make some sort of trap if you're having trouble progressing.

 

Iron weapons do well against the alpha sector boss though, though I'm not sure how much damage the iron bow does compared to the melee weapons.

 

Not worth it, Racial Crafted weapons have the same stats as weapons of the same crafted tier.

Hylotl Shortsword = Avian Shortsword

Not that one, thats a legendary dropped sword, i was talking about crafted weapons.

believe it or not that's actually not that strong lol

just wait till you can craft better weapons after defeating bosses and upgrading your maps/techs

Just upgrade your stuff you have now, get some fuel and fly around space and look for avian airships so you can buy guns,

 

You could always youknow, make some better armor. I heard that stuff is good.

 

with good armor you shouldn't need to get anything else asides from an upgrade to your bow lol

ufo wasn't really that hard to take down

run and shoot and you should be fine

with the t1 racial armor I was able to take it down without losing too much health

I do however recommend that you make some bandages

 

You'll have an easier time taking down the UFO with an iron hunting bow. I wouldn't try to melee it at all. If you build yourself a bunker or set up turrets, it's a snoozefest.

 

Good tips.

The UFO spends most of the fight in the air, shooting lasers megaman style and summoning penguin minions. The only time it drops to the ground is to try and crush you, which is easily avoidable. It wont stay on the ground for you to do much damage to it. Ranged is the way to go for this fight.
