Is there a way to make the restart the planets?

    Hi, heard a lot of good stuff about Starbound, so I took the plunge.

    First planet, beamed down, chopped trees, flattened the area to make a base to go out from and died. I died a lot. So much that I decided to start afresh.

    New character beamed down to a flat area with no trees that was too familiar.

    Is there a way to make the game rebuild the planet, or drop me somewhere else?

    Please, it is depressing seeing all the torches I placed in my previous life :)

    Your planet information is stored in the starbound \ giraffe_storage \ universe folder
    If you know the coordinates of the planet you can delete it and reset it.
    Otherwise if you delete the universe folder the entire universe will reset.

    Thanks. Sorry I put the post in the wrong forum, I just guessed that the help forums were for getting in touch with mods and I thought players could sort me out.

    Rereading my original post, I now realise how sleepy I was at the time, just couldn't remember the word "reset" :)
