with thing like unit leveling, gearing, etc I really like the sprite and animation, would be a waste if game only play as it is right now
Isnt FFT also a turn based strategy game? Yeah, i know, you know, everybody who bought Wargroove know that. I just wish that there will be FFT like campaign with this game's sprite
No. FFT is a SRPG (Strategy RPG), Disgaea is a SRPG, Fire Emblem is another SRPG (although it is a bit different from the former 2 mentioned). Advance Wars is pure Strategy, there's no character development (like levels, equipment, customisation, whatever).
Strategy games are typically divided into turn-based strategy (TBS) and real-time strategy (RTS). In TBS, people take turns making moves and have time to think. That's basically it. The most basic example is chess. The most famous computer game is Civilization. Advance Wars and WarGroove. RTS, on the other hand, is played in real time. Like StarCraft, Command & Conquer, etc. Strategy RPGs are hybrids between RPGs and typically TBSes. RPGs involve deeper storylines, leveling up heroes, and often with hero stats (like strength, defense, speed, etc). So your heroes will typically get stronger as the game goes, but they're also typically not expendable either. Examples are games like Fire Emblem, FFT, Disgaea, and Langrisser. Strategy games are typically fair, and winning is dependent on you being smarter than your opponent. Strategy RPGs often involve some degree of grinding (as in RPGs) on top of being smart with how you use your heroes.
