Is mushroom level still a thing in beta 1.1?

I travel through 80~120 in the mine almost every day every hour on spring but haven't encounter any of the mushroom levels yet, I doubt it's luck, but I suppose it's not a bug, so I ask this question here instead, I'm on MacOS Sierra, anyone having a same issue?

We had a similar thread like that a while ago: http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/frequency-of-mushroom-levels-in-mines.126400/

Many of us found the mushroom levels more often in 1.1 then before and now someone mentioned that they stay a shroom level all day, so if you find one you can farm it. It's probably a bit of RNG involved when a room gets "shroomed" up. But then i doubt that many of us play on a Mac, so that might be a whole different story x.x

I believe the current theory, supported with evidence from various let's plays, is that the mushroom level will initially spawn on a random floor between 81-119, then move "Up" 1 floor each day until it hits floor 80, at which point it will move to a random floor within the range and start the process over.

PathosChild looked into the code for this. The weirdness of it moving up a level is because of the way the RNG is seeded (It takes an input of the players unique ID, as well as the current day, and the level of the mine) So this means that when you go to the next day, the day number increases, so going up a level in the mine will result in the EXACT same seed, so the mushroom level will spawn there.

So this means that once you've explored all the levels from 80 to 120 (It can't spawn on levels ending in 0 or 5), you've checked all the seeds currently possible, so the only place it can pop up is on level 119 with a 3.5% chance. It's quite rare, but once one has spawned, it will move up each day like all the rest do. It's also possible to have multiple mushroom levels at once all moving through the mine.

EDIT: Also, 1.1 is officially released, so you probably want to switch AWAY from the beta branch. You might actually be missing some fixes in the real version.

I'm having trouble finding that seed ; ;, I've encountered some of them before I get beta, that was pretty easy, you guys all use Windows?

Don't forget that there's luck involved. The chance to seed is affected by how the spirits feel about you on any given day. If you're especially lucky, you have a better chance of rolling up the mushroom level. If your luck is especially bad, you have a very good chance of rolling up a combat-only-without-rocks level.

Finding the mushroom level is not affected by daily luck, it's a flat 3.5% chance

Not to get into an argument over this--after all, I could be wrong, and being corrected is far better than being stubborn and stupid--but what's your source for this? It could certainly be coincidence, but I've only ever landed on a mushroom level when it was a very lucky day.

The luck level isn't used in the code when determining if a level will be a mushroom level. Only the seed is taken into account.

As for in game proof, If luck WAS taken into account, then you would see the mushroom levels disappear sometimes as they go up each day, if your daily luck level was too low.

Well, I don't go into the mines on very unlucky days, having hit the combat zones before, so I can't say I've tested that out. But if you've checked the code and found the equation for mushroom levels, that's good enough.

then I guess I find the combat level seed, as I go to the mine I constantly encounter one of them, I didn't notice the level though, do they go up one level each day too?
well I was suppose to find the mushrooms and get some extra cash from them, but if I can't find them anywhere, I'll just go with fishing
