Is it possible to keep your ship, character, and progress while resetting the universe?

As the updates start rolling in I'm going to want to reset my save game universe. Is it possible to do this but still keep the ship, the progress made on the ship (including all items and stored items on it), my character and all tech and what not, the codex progress and the 3D printer progress, and finally the completed outpost missions?

Basically I just want to reset the planets but keep everything else. Is there an easy way to do this? And if so, how?

Yes, though I don't know about the outpost missions, but if you just go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\giraffe_storage and delete the universe file only. It deletes all planets and spawns them again when you load the world.

the data for your character is stored in your player folder
ship has a .ship file ending
    player has .player file ending
.metadata i haven't messed with, might contain the outpost data
    planets in universe
you can delete the universe folder as many times as you want and it will never affect your character's data.
the universe folder recreates itself once you load the game

Alright thanks! With the outpost stuff I was just worried about it resetting my ship due to the missions possibly being reset (and it's through the missions/quests that you upgrade your ship).
