Is it possible to figure out what's causing in-game crashes without the log? (itemException)

Every time I use a furnace I'm met with an error message and sent to the title screen.
"Exception caught in client main-loop starbound (itemException) No such item 'steelbar'"

That isn't leaving behind a log in my storage folder, how can I discern which mod is outdated?

I must've look clean past it.

"steelbar" is an old data id for what was replaced with titanium, and most early beta mods r still using that id and for some reason even some recent ones
