Is it just me, or is Pulse Jump the only tech worth using?

Gravity Bubble is my favorite. The Boosts are nice for hauling ass, but don't have the fine control that Gravity Bubble has. Targeted Blink is pretty neat, but will chew through your energy fast if you try using it for travel.

I just use the Dash-double tap-thingy. Just tap it all the time and you essentially fly, at least as long as you don't need to go up.

    Never found that butterfly-thingy

What do you use morphball for? I had it before the last wipe, but it seemed pointless.

so if CF added a healing tech, that healed something like 10% of your health over 5 seconds for like 25% of your energy, would you use it?

At top gear, just about anything would be better than the current options.

So yes, my answer would be yes.

I'd say the best tech you can find early in the game is energy dash. As long as you're using it in the air, and using it multiple times in the air, you can begin clearing planet surfaces in minutes.

Energy dash pretty much prevails until you get butterfly/bubble boost, as both of those, when used correctly, are 8-directional movement, nearly for free with the right armor.

However, targeted blink is also useful because (oddly) it lets you slink through places you normally couldn't fit through, like 1-block holes, something neither dash nor the boosts can do.

Totally. As mentioned, you've got like no good healing options around end-game. Although the energy consumption would probably be a bit higher.

Anywho, I'm gonna speak for good ol' Energy Dash. Since I've never gotten Butterfly Boost or Bubble Boost. Energy Dash lets me speed through planets, helps with longer jumps and negates fall damage. What's not to love? Well, besides flight. But really, is flight really that useful in this game?

Pulse Jump is alright at the start, but it quickly gets outclassed by any other tech allowing for vertical movement. Even Targeted Blink, which I'm not a big fan of. And Pulse Jump quickly gets annoying when it's all you find in Tech Chests...
Also, Morphball and the mechs just make me wanna cry... Well, unless they buffed the damage. Then I'm fine with the mechs.

Some days ago I found the ROCKET JUMP TECH. Is it a new tech in game? Never seen it before. You have to press W and then spacebar to get a very high jump (I think it is a bit higher then using the Pulse Jump).

    Not new, just rather rare.
And saying that it let's you jump "a bit higher than using the Pulse Jump" is quite an understatement. Back when I had it there were no low gravity planets yet and it launched you up so high that you almost took fall damage. On low gravity planets it must be madness.

gravity bubble is the superior tech.

im in threat level 10 with the best gear and haven't found ANY techs except the shitty energy dash...
i just want the bubble or butterfly boost, because they are the best imo.
pulse jump is great until i get either of those though. right now i have to utilize the grappling hook because i have no other techs to jump very high or far :/

as it was said alredy, both the butterfly boost and the bubble boost let you hover in ANY direction with a pretty high speed and also don't drain your energy as fast with the highest tier of armor. if used wisely, you can infinitely hover and get around planets very fast. or just rape some birds lol

If you do PVP, then Human Mech is the best tech. Once you use it, your opponent will be laughing too hard to defend themselves, so you can shift out of it and then kill them. 60% of the time, it works every time.

Since mech tech isn't useful past tier 3, its a shame its so rare. I've never found it and I've found 15-25+ techs. Most of them energy dash.

Gravity Bubble also acts as a parachute, especially if you've ate a Roast Dinner.
