Is Boneboo a Fruit, Vegetable, or Meat?

I'd imagine it is more of a tart. especially if hylotl use the base. It has been said they don't much like sweet things, with the exception of pearlpea. Like lemon, orange, and pomegranate.

I've had even a cherry pie that was tart. sour/bitter taste, with the only sweet part being the sauce ever so lightly. Makes me think of plum pudding or suite pudding. A very bitter treat that you need to have a separate sweet/sour sauce made with it on the side for dipping or spreading.

I'd imagine the fruit itself would be similar to the citrus family without being a citrus itself. Like how a regular cherry will taste, having a bitter bite overall in a hint of tart. I believe it is a fruit, more or less that has the same bitterness of fleshy meats by itself. maybe even similar flavour; However I don't think the name defines the flavour, I believe it defines its' environment that you find it commonly, as well how it grows. Like a bone segment, similar to bamboo, till it reaches maturity to sprout a bitter/tart fruit off one of its' segments.

Well that is how I see it, and makes a little sense, at least to me...
