They couldn't have made the Glitch advanced, that would completely ruin the Avians. :p

I'm not sure where the confusion is coming in. They're robots, you simply build another one and copy the contents of the previous robot's memory into the new construct. The new one is identical, so whatever behaviors it had before, it will still have. I'm sure a freak chance transmission error downloading the memory could cause a "faulty" model and allow it to advance, but it doesn't serve any meaningful purpose to include it in the game.

Interesting, I suppose I should have seen this coming but then I didn't really realize it until someone else pointed it out. It's as if Tiy and company sat down at a conference table and discussed all the classic alien races, what was cliche about them, then decided to go in the exact opposite direction. The plant people are carnivores, the robots are largely techno-phobic, bird people can't fly, the beast-man race is scientifically advanced, and the amphbians... well still a bit early to tell on them. So I guess if we ever see a "hippie" space-farmer race they're going to be the meanest looking things Tiy and the gang can draw.

Lets not talk about it. I think those secrets should remain in the builder's bedrooms... :X

What's next? You want to try to film the building process? :wtf: We have young machines watching this forum!!!:mad::mad:

    It's actually medieval.

The castle itself isn't medieval, considering it's built by robots in the distant future.

Yeah, ok I'm playing a Glitch, you know why? That guy in the far left, in the second picture. Yeah he's fucking awesome! ^_^

I love all things medieval, and I find it rather amusing of the irony in the races so far, well done Chucklefish! ^_^ I think I'll stick with a Glitch now, can't waaaaait.

I like the wallpaper Suika Ibuki made, especially the Glitch character, but it seems to portray a much cooler version of the race that does not translate too well in my head to their pixely counterparts. The fully armoured glitch in the second picture looks really cool though.

There are somethings that does make me question their character lore, as in they're definitely technologically advance enough to construct another glitchling, but why do they hunt and exterminate the faulty ones instead of reprogramming them or some sort of brain-washing of the brain chip? Not quite a fan of the inquisitorial witch hunt even if they are a good read in W40K.

Why do they need brain-jars as well? I doubt they have organic parts.. and if they're a medieval themed race, why would they even need spaceships? If they are that technologically advance enough why do they still use stone castles and torches? So many questions! Although... I really hope they have jousting tournaments. I love em jousting tournaments.

Well to speculate on a couple things.

The Inquisitorial witch hunt as you put it, is because it is set in medieval times. And generally anyone who thought to radicially or seemed out of the ordinary was hunted as a witch etc, might be something similliar. Why would they use stone castles? I dunno, why is it that the various regions of the world build houses in different styles? Stone might just work better from where they originated, and that's why they stick with them.

A good example of vast differences in culture and buildings. Chinese Hotel-http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Dbsy0f_Ws7A/TNypi1gb0hI/AAAAAAAABAI/b8n6Umw2uMk/s1600/coffinhotel.jpg

^_^ Whereas you'd be hard-pressed to find something like this in the USA, because we take up more space then is needed. ^_^ It might be something as simple as cultural preference for them, maybe they like the way "stone smells" so to speak, as opposed to metal, since both do have a unique smell. Just my reflections on them though.

Thanks for the input. I understand they're trying to make it thematically interesting but goes at odds that regardless of theme, they should be advance enough to overcome it in different ways. They have the whole planet as a sandbox, but I guess I'll be okay with the lore, as long as they iron out any inconsistencies to make it more believable. And implement spiky armour, or even bulkier armour. =D

Not trying to find fault with you, but I'm afraid that the capsule hotel were made by the Japanese guys. Also, you'll find that a lot of other Chinese hotels are pretty much your standard stuff, depending on your expectations I guess. I don't mind sleeping on bunks or on the floor, but I'll have severe difficulty sleeping in something labeled 'coffin hotel'.

man i am really liking the building blocks/architecture of the glitch: looks amazing, simply amazing :coffee:

might just combine some glitch armor with my starting floran depending on what i feel like when compared to the hylote armor types which i really really like

    ugh, the choices..
