Introducing the Apex

The only thing we're missing in my opinion is some nice drawn non-sprite concept art like with the Avian. But our normal concept artist fetal is pretty busy and all us pixel artists are pretty busy making pixel art. I hope I see some fan art of these guys .

I can see that it works out with the pattern it uses.
I can see that its logic is sound.

wow, this is great. It is much darker than I had anticipated. Whereas with the Avians it could go either way depending on how you liked it. This race is described with much less flexibility as to whether the Apes in power are good or bad. They aren't just technocrats with a penchant for order, there is something more sinister here.

 

especially if you've read 1984.
or know Portal's full backstory.

with that kind of knowledge, this race and its backstory just become even more potentially frightening..

 

So, should we destroy this entire race afap(As fast as possible. Get your mind out of the gutter.) to keep them from taking over the universe?

 

Or, you know, if you happen to agree with their ideals... Maybe... I dunno... Team up?

So I guess there's no standard "Ape" race, just the Apex.

wow, everything in this picture is blowing my mind, the description for the apex in general is genius, the wordplay and everything else. i didint realize they were monkey people until i saw the picture
