So that's what I thought, the eighth race is the tentacle one.

 

Maybe... the one eyed cephalopods were one of the eight races on the arch, under the influence of the elder race, but they had a major difference of opinion... so, the one eyed creatures created giant, world eating versions of themselves to use as a weapon against the elder race! Unfortunately, it backfired, leading to the deaths of all the smaller tentacled sentient beings. The giant world eating tentacle monsters succeeded in exterminating the elder race, but only at the cost of their own near total destruction... leaving not enough of them to spread to every inhabitable world.

By the time of the game, their numbers have increased, and their new spread results in the destruction of Earth and their reemergence as a threat to the universe!

I'll take the "doom," personally. I'd rather shoot Hellspawn on Mars than have to deal with that cop-out of an ending.

 

This is the sort of thing I love to see. I git all excited when I see concept art like this, because all I can see is, "SUPPER EPIC CAPTAIN'S LOG EPISODE SETTING!"

I suspect that the deity of Floran is Greenfinger, who has plenty of historical references. Kluex, however, does not have any mentions as being seen or observed or interacted with, and thus could be theorized as a "fake" deity.

 

I don't want to bring this discussion here but i agree with you that there are no signs about Kluex, i even think that he might be a very smart novakid as far i know, since he is called the "Sun Born", but i doubt pretty much that any of these are cosmic/celestial beings

Actually, the Floran god is a giant flower. There's even a statue for it.

Can't get a pic right now, but I have the statue he is referring to. You can find the recipe sometimes in flower biomes, usually on jungle planets.

 

But wait, it says in description that is greenfinger?!

 

I'm pretty sure that's the wrong statue. What does it look like?

 

I don't know wich statue you guys are talking about, you said that floran god was a giant flower.

and I think the god of the florans is not a flower

but that the description is just a joke about the fact that they're plants
