Interest Check: 18+ Starbound Server (Plans)

Count me in, love the idea, I tried doing something similiar in Terraria and . . . It was great fun while it lasted, with Starbound it seems it will be possible, and the OP has definitely thought it all through. Sounds awesome !

 

When you get the server, will it be made public instantly or will it take some more time?

 

Yeah, I just saw this thread. I looove the idea of a nice, relatively troll free server. If there is any slots left, I'd appreciate an application.

I am very interested, please sign me up, I'd like to fill out an application right away! I'm glad you've put so much thought into what you want. It's easier for us who don't like to lead to follow someone who knows where they're going

 

Update: I rented a server last week on the 12th. It finally got up today, however I still don't have access through the site's control panel yet. When I get access, I'll put Starbound on it and finally get it going. It'll still be a few days but I might have it up in time for the weekend! Then we'll need to stress test it. I really hope it can handle all of you!

PLEASE NOTE: It's Christmas week, my sis is coming to visit and I've got a full house, I may not be on 24/7 this weekend and next week. I'll keep an eye on things and may give someone Admin access to the control panel to reboot the server as needed, but please don't expect a seamless transition. There's almost 120 of us trying to fit into an unstable game!

I'd like an application, please. Sounds like a cool idea. I'm not one for RP, but a place to play with other real live human beings sounds nice. Plus, no little kids would be cool, too.

Im interested. Not big on most MMORPG's due to raging 12 year olds, an 18+ server sounds great.

 

Would be interested in a server with more mature players, aslong its not turning out like another community I used to be part of... well thats another story aswell.
I would love a server where I can simply play on with other people at same age, maturity and maybe even interests (god I love chemestry and physics...)

Well lets take off the RP thing I am kinda into since I joined the forums and go for some real information about me, masks off:

I am 21 years old, studied Chemestry on Ba.Sc (Done with it) and currently on Physics, and well... its kinda hard for me to socialize in real life and getting into contact with others... had some bad experience with people in the past, at the age of well... 10-18, my whole time at school was a mess basicly because those people were just... immature, horrible and simply messed up, pushing others down for no apparent reason. Those "teachers" aswell, as you said 35 or older and the mind of a 5 years old. Yeah... that left some nice scars on my mind... irreverseable damage... And since I kinda... lost... my old community and my used to be online "friends" due to changes I could not agree with at all, where no compromisses were possible, where I simply left because those changes would make it easier for "griefers, trolls and idiots" to join and well... infiltrate the community... and cause damage. But since I left them I threw away pretty much my whole "social life" or however its called in english properly (sorry I am from germany) and I noticed after 2 months of leaving my old community behind, that well... something was missing. I want that feeling back... to know people without directly beeing forced to see them everyday IRL. I want that feeling back of people caring for you which I am unable to feel IRL due to some issues I have due to past happenings; I am simply not able to trust anyone IRL anymore. I simply want a new community where I can live in. Without the risk of beeing tortured by those well... lets call them annoying people instead of the word I usually use to describe them which is probaly inappropriate here.

So let me know if theres a way I can apply when you made your decision about creating your server, I will gladly fill out the application, whatever you wish to know about me, youll get the information. Nobody else however. I just want to be part of something again, something where I feel good and used.
