Kinda excited to join now. Very rare for a guy like me, really am looking forward to getting into Age of Aquarius!

@Kyemaron, You're welcome! I'm pretty excited too. These apps are great. Despite the bit of negativity I got on the forums for starting a server thread so early, I'm glad I managed to catch a few of you before we were all lost at sea. @_@ I counted 82 people interested, I estimate I'll get 40 apps, to be conservative. That's still quite a bit. Then again, ya never know, maybe we'll have only 20 members or maybe all 81!

Doing the apps early will also help me decide how many slots to start with. I was totally underestimating the number of people interested at 50.

EDIT: I'm going through and reading applications right now. It's like EVERYONE is hoping for the same thing from this server and the one just read summed it up - looking for a place where everyone appreciates what everyone else brings to it.
Also, people to build large projects with. I'm sure those looking for other players to build with won't have a problem finding each other. Plenty of people who enjoy building so far!

Just finished going through the first 15 applications. We got 15 new members, for a total of...18! I'll send out emails today/tomorrow. (I gotta go cook turkey!)

Some interesting tidbits:

• So far, we've got all He members! (Except for me.)
• The favored races are Glitch, Hylotl, and Floran. No Avians or Apex yet, but a couple Humans!
• We've got several builders! Though everyone likes exploring. One farmer.
• Some event ideas are base building/tower defense type games, Capture the Flag type games, hunting games.
• Several people have expressed the hope to make friends. Always a good sign!
• We got some entrepreneurs already planning material/gathering businesses, though each interestingly has a slight spin on the idea.

Such thoughtful apps, man. My replies might take a while because each one brought up fun stuff to talk about!

Interested in this but I'm wondering if I'd have to commit or can i hop on and hop off without being kicked for inactivity?

 

@Milkman - If ya ain't a griefer, troll, or other disruptive person, you're a member on the whitelist for life. You'd be able to hop on any time there's room, and I hope to have room for everyone!

 

I just hope my crumby laptop has enough power to play SB or im gonna have to take turns with my other half on her pc lol

 

I've given it a bit of thought and I think this is something I'd be interested in, so I'm willing to fill out an application whenever it's convenient.

 

I think mine can handle it when it's all optimized, but the Stage 1 build worries me. My laptop gets hot playing Terraria for a few hours... I mean, I guess I should limit myself to a few hours so I don't Starbound myself to death, but still!

 

I am on an i3 laptop with 8GB ram but it only has on board graphics I think 128mb of dedicated graphics so im a little worried lol

 

I think optimization is going to take a while, so I'm sure a lot of people are going to see lag. But I'm sure it'll get better in the next few weeks when tons of peoples' first reported 'bug' is that they can't play the game at all, lol.

How can there be only one farmer? Unless I'm getting farming (items) / Farmer (crops/animals) mixed up

 

I'm also a farmer, naturally I thought that one farmer was me too hehe oh well looks like there is 2 so far who will be lovingly tending their crops

 

lol Yeah that one farmer was Kyemaron. I only just started on the next batch, so I haven't gotten to yours SPOOKS. Glad you're not the only farmers though! I'm looking forward to creating my own farm, and getting little chickens (the chickens are adorable), and collecting all the recipes is going to be so much fun.

Well I also want to be a fossil hunter, but I gotta wait for that.

OKAY. I gotta go cook for real now! Will continue looking at apps throughout the day and start sending out emails tonight!
