In vehicles I would like a system for interchangeable parts, this would allow you to upgrade any mechanical vehicles. Maybe put it into five sections, weapons, speed, armor, rate of attack, and maybe even a custom logo/look. You would be able to change each of these sections, add a stronger armor that has more explosive resistance, or a gun that fires super fast with low damage. This would add a lot of customablility to your vehicles and each one would be unique to you. This would add more use to the junkyard planets (if there added) you might find a cool part to add to your vehicle. Of course it would need to have only a few parts, so any repairs (A post I liked) could be done with little to no struggle. Different models will need different parts a flying pirate ship needs different parts then a mech. This would add variety and sorts, a list of ideas for the few major parts in a vehilce are needed I could make them up now, but I wanna see the communities ideas. That means you! Actually this seems similar to my Customizable Bots idea (Altrough mine is more detailed) but whit vehicles and mounts instead of bots.
Interchangeable parts would be cool because you could make it better and better looking! As you said in your suggestion!
Hmm, the ability to upgrade parts and such? Very interesting idea, by the way, it has been said (I'm pretty sure, as I was corrected in a recent post) that your ship (don't know what exact ship) will be able to change colors and the look but that I know of, it is only cosmetic.
Aw I love it. Junk yard planets would be awesome, and going on a digging quest to find tons of parts and having a small armada would be totally worth it. You could get simple sheet metal plating, all the way up to pure alien ship armour. It would work really well. Definitely worth implementing.
That was one thing that was going through my mind too, if your lucky you might find rare alien parts! :alien:
And I think the searching part could be fun as well. I'm sure the devs would add tons of stuff to find in those planets so you could probably come across some really wacky stuff!
Yeah, randomising what fuel an alien engine on could be fun and there's a lot of cool stuff that can be done, I like it.
I really enjoy the idea of perhaps being able to create a base vehicle and upgrade it by changing specific parts, like tires, engine, seats? Good idea.
